The Map and Dominoes of Kaosfall
Unfold Your Map & Enter the World of Kaosfall
The world of Kaosfall is on the brink. Across a realm forged from six shifting triangles, mortals rise, legendary armies march, and gods tremble as the ground itself fractures . The battlefield of Kaosfall: The Odyssey is not static. It is a dynamic, ever-changing map made of six distinct Dominos (kingdoms) . Each domino features three Battle Locations . To conquer a domino, you must outmaneuver your rivals to win at least two of these locations, bending the entire realm to your will and feeding the ancient power of Kaos within . As the war rages, the Fates weave treachery, and the board itself begins to collapse.
This ancient power now burns in your mortal veins, granting you the strength to rival demigods and the audacity to challenge Olympus. Choose your allegiance carefully. In Kaosfall, you command a legion of legendary heroes, tricksters, and treacherous gods.
The Collapsing Kingdoms
Troy
In ancient myth, the legendary walls of Troy were built by the gods Poseidon and Apollo themselves, making the city seemingly impregnable during a brutal ten-year siege. It was only conquered through deceit.
In Kaosfall, the ruins of Troy remain a testament to cunning tactics, making it the perfect battleground to deploy the intellect of Odysseus or plant the Trojan Horse, a face-down decoy that allows you to steal an enemy’s card and banish it to Medusa’s Garden.
Sparta
Historically and mythically devoted to Ares, the God of War, Sparta was a society bred entirely for battle, where warriors were taught never to retreat. On the board, Sparta is a brutal, blood-soaked battleground. It is the natural home for the relentless Spartan Army cards (values 3, 6, and 9), whose sheer discipline allows mortal leaders to conquer locations through raw, uncompromising attrition.
Athens
According to legend, Athena won the patronage of this great city by gifting its people the first olive tree, proving that wisdom and foresight provide more than raw power. Crowned by the Parthenon, the Athens domino is the seat of strategic warfare. It heavily favors players who use the Athena god card, whose power allows you to lock a location and instantly reveal all hidden enemy cards on the domino, conquering through knowledge rather than brute force.
Delphi
Nestled on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Delphi was considered the “omphalos” (the navel of the world) and housed the Pythia—the high priestess who delivered prophecies directly from Apollo. In the game, Delphi is a sacred sanctuary holding the Oracle’s Temple. Playing any card in this domino allows you to summon the Oracle token, granting you a one-time prophetic power to guess the value of an enemy’s face-down card anywhere on the map. If you guess correctly, the card is permanently discarded.
The Enduring Realms
The Underworld
In Greek myth, the realm of the dead is separated from the living by rivers like the Styx and guarded by the fearsome three-headed hound, Cerberus. Bound by the grim power of its ruler, Hades, the Underworld does not fall easily. Instead of the standard deck, it draws its fate from Kaosfall Deck Two, allowing it to resist the tremors of the surface world. It may endure until the very end of the Odyssey, demanding four catastrophic tremors before its dark gates finally shatter.
Mount Olympus
Carved from the bones of eternity following the gods’ cosmic war against the Titans, the peak of Olympus touches the heavens and never falls. It is the domain of the lightning-bearer, Zeus, and the final destination of your Odyssey. Olympus does not have standard battle locations; instead, it holds the most critical strategic zones on the board.
Medusa's Garden
A cursed pit lurking near the peak, mirroring the isolated, cursed existence of the Gorgon Medusa. If your cards are banished here by a trap like the Trojan Horse or Medusa herself, they are completely out of play for the round, and none can save you.
The Pit of Kaos: For the Agents of Kaosfall
The shadowy corners under Zeus’s storm-shadow. Here, primordial entities born from the void, the Agents of Kaos and Hades wait to strike dark bargains. Desperate mortals who have exhausted their hands or lost their divine allies can gain these agents to peer into the Kaosfall deck or resurrect fallen heroes from the graveyard.
The Tie Breaker
The ultimate judgment of the gods. The player who commits their highest forces to win the Tie Breaker on Olympus gains the ultimate power: acting as the divine arbiter to decide the victor of any tied battles or contested dominos across the entire map.
