I’ve always been fascinated by where great ideas come from.

Artists, filmmakers, musicians. The people who create something that feels truly original. One story that stayed with me was how Paul McCartney woke up with the melody for Yesterday fully formed in a dream. It sounded impossible. Then I watched Inception, my favourite film, which explores the idea that entire worlds can exist inside dreams.

After moving to Sydney, board games became a way for me to build community. Friday nights turned into a ritual; gathering with friends, learning new games, sharing banter, and escaping into different worlds for a few hours.

Then one night, I had a dream.

It was a Friday evening, and someone was teaching me a new board game. I remember trying to understand the mechanics and struggling to grasp the strategy, the same feeling you get when you’re learning a game for the first time.

When I woke up, I realised something strange.

The game didn’t exist.

Since that morning, I’ve been on a mission to bring that dream into the real world: To create something original that gives board gamers the same sense of escape, challenge, and laughter around the table.

But to build it, I turned to people who have known me far longer than any game night; friends from my younger days, whose bonds with me were formed through years of banter, games, and shared escapism. The kind of friendships built decades ago that you know will last a lifetime.

Those connections sit at the heart of this project. Because if a game is meant to capture the joy of friendship, competition, and imagination, there is no better foundation than the bonds that inspired it in the first place.
